Tamron SP Adaptall-2 2x Teleconverter 01F Review
The 01F teleconverter (TC) does two things:
1. It doubles your macro magnification (e.g. a 1:2 macro becomes 1:1, or the 1:1 to become 2:1)
2. It doubles your focal length (e.g. from a 90mm to a 180mm)
However, it also doubles your effective aperture. So if you had a f2.8 lens, it will become an f5.6 lens.

Here's a video on I created on how to mount the TC.
On the subject of image quality, the TC does degrade your image sharpness especially for further subjects. Close ups and macros does much better. And one thing that will suffer will be contrast and increased CA. Because of this (and the fact that it makes my lenses extra heavy), I only use the lens for super macros and not for super telephoto.
For the following photos, I had to ensure enough light and steady tripod because even the tiniest camera shake or a millimeter of missed focus will effect photo sharpness.

And effective aperture of f5.6 at 180mm 2:1 magnification. |
Effectively 180mm f5.6 |
Very soft images and low contrasts even at higher apertures for subjects at a distance. |
